Lyu Zijing is a legal executive in the Firm’s China & Asia Practice Group. She graduated from the Washington University in St. Louis in 2025 and was qualified in China in 2024. She specialises in international arbitration and complex cross-border commercial disputes. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
Prior to joining the Firm, Zijing interned at the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Singapore, where she assisted in administering hundreds of international arbitrations across the Asia-Pacific region. While studying in China, she also interned at leading Chinese law firms, with experience with complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
Outside her legal practice, Zijing maintains a strong commitment to moot court advocacy. She won the national championship of the Lilv Cup hosted by Tsinghua University in 2021. She is also a Willem C. Vis Moot mootie, she coaches Washing University in St.Louis Vis Moot Vienna 2025/2026 team and serves as an arbitrator for the CIETAC Cup, Vis East and the APAC Vis Pre-Moot.
In her free time, Zijing enjoys playing tennis, travelling, dancing and hiking.
Case Highlights
- Administrated hundreds of international arbitrations cases under ICC rules, spanning Asia-Pacific region and covering sectors including construction, energy, cryptocurrency, technology, banking and financial and real estate.
- Assisted in the representation of a Chinese state-owned entity in an international arbitration for a claim in excess of EUR 1.5 billion concerning an EPC construction of a solar power plant in Portugal.
- Assisted in a successful appeal in the representation of an individual in a dispute against a Chinese state-owned entity involving state-owned land and properties.
