Winy is a dual-qualified disputes lawyer specialising in international arbitration and cross-border disputes, with a particular focus on construction, energy and infrastructure matters. She has experience acting in arbitrations administered under the SIAC, ICC, and LCIA Rules and advising on disputes involving Singapore, English and Indian law.

Prior to joining LVM, Winy practised at a specialist disputes firm in London with a strong reputation in international construction arbitration. She was involved in a SIAC arbitration arising from an offshore wind farm project and an ICC arbitration concerning a solar power project in Brazil. Her experience spans issues relating to delay, disruption, variations, quantum and liquidated damages, as well as matters concerning waiver, estoppel, privilege, expert evidence and contractual interpretation under Singapore and English law.

Before relocating to London, Winy practised at a disputes chambers attached to the Bombay High Court. She was instructed at the post-award stage of a Singapore-seated SIAC arbitration concerning a failed coal-fired power project, including the subsequent set-aside proceedings before the Singapore International Commercial Court. She also appeared before the Bombay High Court in commercial and arbitration-related matters, including shareholder disputes, banking disputes, commercial fraud claims and applications for the appointment of arbitrators.

Prior to entering disputes practice, Winy gained experience in banking, project finance and insolvency at a leading Indian law firm. She has also completed mini-pupillages at Essex Court Chambers and 3 Verulam Buildings in London, gaining exposure to complex commercial disputes and international arbitration matters, including issues relating to unjust enrichment, anti-suit injunctions and penalty clauses.

Winy holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) from the University of Oxford, where she specialised in Commercial Remedies, Conflict of Laws and International Dispute Settlement. She also graduated top of her class from the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi, India. Her academic work has been published in leading journals, including the American Review of International Arbitration and the Cornell International Law Journal.
