Ron KOO is an Associate with the Firm and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Singapore High Court in 2023.
Before joining the Firm, Ron was part of the commercial disputes team at one of Singapore’s largest law firms. He has represented diverse clients in high-value and complex commercial disputes, across both litigation and arbitration proceedings. His practice has spanned various areas of law, including insolvency, international trade, and admiralty. This breadth of experience has equipped him with a strong understanding of cross-border issues and the ability to provide strategic advice.
Ron graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) from the University of Liverpool in 2019. He then pursued a Master of Laws in International Law at University College London, graduating with a Distinction in 2020. He was also ranked amongst the top 15 oralists in England during the national rounds of the famous Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
Outside of work, Ron plays Flag Football for the Singapore National Team and actively serves in his church community.

Commercial Litigation
- Assisted in defending an application to set aside a statutory demand issued to secure repayment for a loan made under a Facility Agreement amounting to SGD 20 million.
- Assisted in resisting enforcement of an arbitration award issued by the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration amounting to RMB 4 Million.
- Assisted in successfully defending a specific discovery application in the High Court which involved multiple parties concerning fraudulent transactions.
International Arbitration
- Assisted in securing a successful award in a London-seated SIAC arbitration concerning a complex chain of sale and purchase agreements involving five parties with hedging damages amounting to approximately USD 10 million.
- Assisted in a cross-border SIAC arbitration involving various international corporations which concerned complex matters of insolvency and contract worth USD 50 million.
- Assisted in an SIAC arbitration involving parties from the United States of America and the People’s Republic of China concerning the breach of a distribution agreement amounting to RMB 67 million.
- Assisted in a cross-border construction arbitration with claims amounting to USD 17.5 million involving parties from Indonesia and Hong Kong.
Insolvency
- Represented clients in an application for a holding company and its subsidiary concerning Section 64 and 65 of the Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution Act 2018.
