Cosima WIMMERS is a Foreign Lawyer at the Firm and a solicitor of the Courts of England and Wales. She is also a Registered Foreign Lawyer in Singapore. Cosima’s practice focuses on international arbitration and cross-border dispute advisor, with particular experience in matters involving complex procedural frameworks, multi-jurisdictional issues, and both public and private international law.
Cosima has worked on a wide range of commercial and investor–state arbitrations governed by SIAC, ICC, HKIAC, UNCITRAL, and CAS Rules. These disputes have spanned sectors such as energy, infrastructure, procurement, and intellectual property, and involved high-value claims across multiple jurisdictions. In her previous role supporting a senior arbitrator in Singapore, she was closely involved in the administration and coordination of arbitral proceedings across multiple jurisdictions. Her responsibilities included high-level analysis of substantive and evidential issues, review of party submissions and documentary records, legal research, and assistance in drafting of orders.
Cosima’s legal education and professional experience span both civil and common law systems. She holds two Master of Laws degrees, one from the National University of Singapore in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution, and one from the Graduate Institute in Geneva (MIDS), where she focused on international dispute settlement. She obtained her LL.B. in Global Law from Tilburg University in the Netherlands, and completed an exchange at the University of Hong Kong with a focus on commercial dispute resolution in China.
Her comparative legal training allows her to engage comfortably with diverse legal cultures and procedural traditions. She is fluent in English and German, and conversant in Dutch.
