Jay Yin graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2024 with a Bachelors of Laws (LLB), Second Class Honours (Upper) and will be called to the Singapore Bar in 2026.
Jay Yin completed her practice training contract with the arbitration team of an international law firm where she specialised in domestic and cross-border construction disputes. She assisted in a Singapore International Arbitration Centre arbitration concerning claims over US$50 million against a global wind turbine manufacturer in an offshore wind farm project in Taiwan. She also supported a Singapore chemical manufacturer in an application for leave to appeal to set aside an arbitration award under the Singapore Arbitration Act. During her training, Jay Yin gained experience in a range of corporate matters, assisting with employment law work, investment transactions and financial regulatory advice.
Jay Yin is a Research Assistant at the NUS Centre for Asian Legal Studies and continues to support peer-learning student projects that she led in her student days. She advises students on projects spanning the Asian region in her role as Deputy Project Advisor. Outside of work, Jay Yin enjoys hiking and running, interests shaped by a decade competing in track and field.

- Assisted with an arbitration seated in Singapore under the SIAC Rules 2025 for a global manufacturer of wind turbine generators, concerning claims in excess of US $50 million in relation to the development and construction of an offshore wind farm in Taiwan arising out of a preferred supplier agreement.
- Assisted with an arbitration seated in Singapore under the SIAC Rules 2025 for a Chinese employer in relation to disputes arising out of a contract for employment of foreign workers in a Malaysian rail project.

- Assisted with the Respondent’s written submissions for an employer in a Security of Payment Act claim.
Corporate Advisory & Transactions
- Assisting with review of a Singapore oil and gas company’s human resource policies and employment contracts as well as an advice in relation to termination of a consultant.
